Team Green Community Garden

The next meeting of Team Green is Wednesday, April 29th, at 7PM in the Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to attend.

Progress in the implementation of our Sow Green Community Garden is really being made! Last Saturday, after the needed insurance was obtained (thanks to Anne Krieg) a crew gathered at the site on State Street and proceeded to clean it up. It was a big job, but we had extra help from Mike, the son of the lady who owns the house next door to the site, who appeared with a chain saw and proceeded to cut down trees. While we were doing the clean-up, numerous residents of the area stopped by to inquire what was going on and were very pleased to learn about our plan. Also, on Wednesday, while some of us, helped by John Letson with his wood chipper, were working on getting rid of branches, etc., we met Helena, the lady who lives nest door to the site, and discovered that she used to attend UU quite a few years ago when we were in West Redding.
