Spirituality and the Arts Session # 5

“The Power of Music" (& Finishing up our outstanding Projects)

Music seems to speak to us no matter how we feel.  Music is a place for us to experience mystery, beauty and spirituality.  We have a lot of music lovers among us so let’s take this opportunity to share music that expresses different genres, moods, or gives us a good feeling.

BRING an INSTRUMENT and a SAMPLE of what you play or a song you love to sing (lyrics or sing- along with a CD).  Respectful and appropriate lyrics are expected.   (Note: There is a piano in the room)

Possible Activities:

Share our favorite music (play a song live or in another format) with the Miglietta Brothers

Chair refurbishment project (Weather permitting –continue spraying the chairs- out on the lawn) with Cynthia Clark & Conor Collins

Sew (sewing machines or by hand) chair pads for the chairs we are refurbishing & sew on cording  with Mary Collins

(yarn play & fabric sewing also an option for younger children)

Draw (or list if you wish) “What I dream of doing this summer…”
