Senior High Youth Group (Grades 9-12)

This group usually meets on Sunday afternoons from 4-5:30PM.

The youth group participates in various social, service and spiritual activities (see below). In the past, the group has attended Metro District Youth Conferences (CONS), staged holiday parties for the younger UUCD kids or planned services for the entire congregation. Occasionally the group arranges off-site activities, so parents should be sure to be in contact with the youth group advisors to keep track of the schedule.

We highly encourage Senior High Youth to participate in these activities, as well as attending services with their families and participating in wider congregational life by volunteering at events or serving on a committee.

ACTIVITIES PLANNED:

Sunday, November 16: Attend the Teen Homeless informational session at the First Congregational Church in Danbury. Meet at the Ridge at 3:30 PM. Return to Ridge by 5:30.

Sunday, November 23: To be determined

Sunday, November 30: No youth group — Thanksgiving weekend.

Sunday, December 7: No youth group due to Our Whole Lives Sexuality and Values session for 10th-12th graders meeting from 4:00 to 5:30 pm.

Friday, December 12: Glow Bowl at Lore Lanes in New Milford. Meet at Lore Lanes at 10:00 PM.

Sunday, December 21: Holiday Yankee Swap — 4:00 PM at the Ridge.

Friday, December 26 – Sunday, December 28: Rock-n-Run Con at First Unitarian Society of Westchester, NY (no regular youth group meeting this weekend)
